Message	the point I was trying to convey was that even when the rod bends due to unfavorable conditions such as this set I received the rod bolts still maintained themselves. I've seen some ARP 8740s ruin an engine but never seen a set of 2000s let loose from a rod and cause damage. The only rod I've seen use an 8740 rod bolt is from Cat but they use a Chevy rod bolt in their H Beam rods. Quite a beefy rod bolt to use as far as dimensions go. Material though...not so great.
